Hello dear readers!
It’s a time of powerful shifts in energy as Monday, December 14th brings a Solar New Moon Eclipse. For those of you—like me—whose logical brain was just triggered, here’s more:
“A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of new moon, when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth's surface.”
-space.com (great URL, huh?)
What does this mean spiritually?
“Total Solar Eclipses are powerful points of manifestation and creation. They open a portal to new and fresh energy and can kickstart our lives in a new direction.
Pay attention to any offerings the Universe brings your way around this time, as Eclipses are said to bring fated and destined events that push us further along our path.
Falling in the sign of Sagittarius, this Eclipse also brings the energy of abundance. Mercury is active on this Eclipse too, which heightens the need to speak our truth, and to be sure that what we are communicating is aligned with what we wish to manifest.”
This is good stuff.
As you know, I typically offer a reading on Sundays. Today, I’m feeling totally out of “reading” alignment, which means it wouldn’t be very productive for any of us to try.
Instead, I felt drawn to the deck for one, single card. And, like all things in this realm, I was simultaneously awed and not surprised at all to see The Sun.
What does this mean?
In the context of the New Moon energies described above, it means great things. This is a card of high vibes, positive energy, vitality, and success. Yay!
If you’re going through “the shit” right now, you’re getting two very strong messages today: Spirit has your back, and things will be getting better.
Today and tomorrow are the absolute perfect times to set some serious intentions for yourself, your family, your job, your life. Whatever you feel called to confront, address, or plan, now is the time.
Set a timer in a quiet, comfortable space for 20 minutes.
Grab a journal or something to write with.
This might seem like a long time to just write. It also might feel like, “What the heck do I write about?”
Write about absolutes. The truest desires in your heart. You don’t have to be legible, nor do you ever have to re-read this. But you do have to be honest.
Ignore the logistics or the “how” of the plans you scribe. That’s not what this exercise and energy are here to worry about. It’s about getting the plans and dreams moving through you and out into the world in some way.
For me, I find that minute 12 or so is when I finally start “getting somewhere” when I do the 20-minutes. If you can’t think of what to write about at first, just write, “I can’t really think of what to write about right now. But I’m supposed to keep writing about the things I most desire for my life, etc.”
You get the idea.
I’ll be back soon with more readings. Until then, happy manifesting.
