🌿Pick-a-card {Jan 25th)

Welcome to a new week with new guiding energies to look out for

Readings have a way of stacking up, meaning it is not always possible to process or synthesize the information you receive in a reading before the next one appears.

The last two weeks have held some powerful messages and energy.

(If you need to revisit them, click through to the Capricorn Born page via the logo in this email. There, you’ll have access to all past readings.)

Obviously, readings also run their course. You’ll know when.

Today’s reading will fit nicely with readings from earlier this month.

If it helps, journal a bit. Take a few notes and add them to your altar where you can revisit, digest, and really understand what is speaking to you. It’s in the consistent revisiting of these things where we grow. These energies are messages from the collective, and of course, signals from within.

Have a beautiful week,

Natalie

Today’s reading is 1 card:

Think about something that’s top of mind for you that you could use a little extra guidance on. Or maybe you’d just like a general theme to help you work through this month’s readings.

Which pile draws you in the most? Or maybe begin with the one that you don’t feel. There’s typically a reaction you can tune into either way. Breath. Listen, then choose.

The crystals & stones:

1-Ruby Zoisite: amplifies our connection to energies in the spirit world; supports healing from trauma ✨crown chakra

2-Kunzite: serenity & peace; healing and calming; opens the heart to divine love✨heart, third eye, and crown chakras

3- Blue Agate: replaces fear, anger, and anxiety with peace & love✨heart & throat chakras

The Hanged Man, reversed

Major arcana cards (these are the 22 cards that are not suited in a traditional tarot deck) often mean that you’re called to reflect on larger themes and life lessons at this time. When they stand alone, the Major Arcana are much like oracle cards in that they represent a strong archetype.

This card always catches me off guard when reversed because it first appears to be upright.

If there is something in your life that you’re feeling a great deal of resistance to, now is the time to pay attention. Are you stalling? Not able to make a decision? Trying to push something off by procrastinating?

When upright, this card represents letting go, and the ability to see new perspectives. But today, the energy is all bound up. You’re pushing up against something and not letting it move through you, and your life.

Getting clear on the person you want to be—the person you’re proud of—is a step in the direction of breaking through this barrier. Are you making decisions that are moving you closer to this, or farther away?

It might be time to really look into the why behind your decisions, or paralysis of indecision. This is a call to look at things from a different perspective. You’re stuck in old habits and old ideologies that aren’t serving you.

When you’re able to identify the things that are keeping you stuck, things will start to moooooove. But first, the work.

What is the work?

It’s looking at the shadow self and feeling into the things we have been avoiding. That’s hard stuff.

It’s making different choices in your life from the ones you know aren’t serving your highest good.

This is the work. It’s daily. But with consistency, you will move through this barrier and find a stronger Self along the way.

2

The Fool

Major arcana cards (these are the 22 cards that are not suited in a traditional tarot deck) often mean that you’re called to reflect on larger themes and life lessons at this time. When they stand alone, the Major Arcana are much like oracle cards in that they represent a strong archetype.

This card is magnificent. Folks who study tarot could write a whole book about just this one card, and some probably have.

Here you are being called to new beginnings, a fresh start. But even better, this is about living from your heart’s center. The place where you lived as a child before you learned about anything alarming in the world.

It’s an energy that trusts and knows that all consequences to actions made in good faith and alignment are there to serve you. In other words, there is no wrong decision here, if it feels good to you.

This is a new journey. A risk, perhaps. A trip. A giant, path-altering choice. A gift.

The key to harnessing the beauty that the Fool brings is to find alignment with joy.

Huh? How do I do that?

By now, your subconscious—or hopefully even your conscious—mind has identified the big shift, or leap of faith, or new path you need to take. You know. Somewhere, deep down, you know exactly what you need to expand and grow.

The work is not overthinking things. Stay out of your head right now.

To do this, spend time doing things that bring you joy. Play with your dog. Bake elaborate and ridiculous cookies with your kids. Color in one of those adult coloring books and put on your fave old album…whatever it is, do the thing that is closest to your inner child. Create. Laugh. Play.

It might take a few tries, but getting into a space of joy will open up your body and energy field to receiving the answers you need.

Most of all, this is a time to trust and move forward. That is it.

Judgement, reversed

Major Arcana cards (these are the 22 cards that are not suited in a traditional tarot deck) often mean that you’re called to reflect on larger themes and life lessons at this time. When they stand alone, the Major Arcana are much like oracle cards in that they represent a strong archetype.

This card signals that your inner critic is LOUD right now. So loud, in fact, that you’re missing key messages and intuitive hits that are trying to move you back onto your path.

We all have a specific journey, and when we’re on our path, it simply means we’re aligned with our highest Self. The Truth of us. The Divinity that existed before this body, and will continue on after the body is left behind.

You’re out of alignment right now, dear Seeker. Your self doubt, negative self-talk, and inner critic are working overtime right now.

The thing is, this energy is here to remind you that you might think you have it all under control, but if you pay very close attention, you’re pretty damn hard on yourself.

The wonderful news about this card is that, implicit in its meaning, is a call that you’re ignoring. There is something trying to get your attention, a big ol’ clue to move you back to your Self and alignment.

Your work right now is to listen for the call. It’s work because, in order to do this successfully, you first need to quiet the chatter. This is a lifelong practice, but the rewards of this practice can be noticed almost immediately.

The first step is recognizing when this voice pops up. Is it when you’re scrolling social media? At work? Around family? Can you catch yourself talking yourself down instead of lifting yourself UP?

It’s work, but it’s a huge step in being able to really hear your inner guidance. The TRUE inner guidance that is love.

Pay attention to how you talk to yourself. Talk to yourself like you LOVE yourself.
